I thought this can only exist in Harry Potter world.
Go to Walmart; on the chocolate and candy aisle, please find;
THE JELLY BELLY!
Well there’s obviously not gonna be boogers or ear wax flavors but hey! Dr. Pepper? Yuck. Sizzling Cinnamon? Thank you very much. They are artificially flavored but taste reaaal. Especially Caramel Corn. Yumm. They even have strawberry cheesecake flavor! I randomly pick them jelly beans from the package and see if I spit one out. Or try giving someone a coconut flavored bean and see their reaction. Pricelesss. =P Funtertaining candy, indeed. You’ll feel like you’re on the Hogwarts train when you eat this. =)

Actually this is what happened when you got bored shopping, especially at a place like Walmart.

I got a package from the post office this morning; a big box they gave me. Lets just assume that the content is not what I am trying to blog here; At the bus stop, there were two African Americans sitting adjacent to each other. At first I decided to not get in there, but the cold wind made me. I put the box on the bench, when the guy next to me asked, “That a bomb?” I could not get it at first, and I was like puzzled and mumbled “what?” before I realized what he meant. I hastily said “Here? No. Don’t worry,” and I heard both of them chuckled at what I thought was not a joke.
I don’t blame them because I know some Americans are still haunted with the “fact” of 9/11, or whatever CNN had told them. What disturbed me is that some of them think they are right, no matter how good an explanation you gave them; like when the flight attendant made you wait for the security to verify your passport to make sure that you look exactly like your photo (yes that has happened to us). The latest example would be that Jewish guy’s comments on Din’s “Palest Boy” note on FB. (go read it, the best and simplest story one can read to know about the Palestine/Israel conflict). When I read his comments, I thought, How shallow. This guy obviously didn’t know anything. Whats with “if Indonisia attacked Malaysia my clear guess is that the Malay will not be to happy with indonisians living in it’s teritory” (he wants to point out that Indonesia being the Hamas here instead of the other way around) *Rolled eyes* Hello. Palestine is not Israel’s land in the first place!
On the bright side, I do feel grateful that some Americans do want to understand. Francis once asked me “why do these people made their women wear bombs for them?” To be honest, I have no idea what to answer to that. I simply said, “maybe that’s the only way they had to be heard,” not a good answer, I know, but she said, “yeah.. you might be right. Look at how bad they were oppressed. We cannot blame them, can we?”. Thomas, my medicine man and the priest at Buffalo once debated about why we have to cover up all the way from head to toe. He also mentioned that he would love to see me without my hijab on. Obviously I am not a good candidate to give him hadith examples and all that, but I said, nevertheless; “I have Muslim friend who wear sexy clothes, obviously does not cover up like we do, but she prays 5 times a day and she is so helpful; the most kind hearted among us all. In the end, its not your clothes that matter (well it still matters but i was trying to make a point there), it’s the faith that you have with you,”. He cheered me on that, which I deeply appreciated.
It’s been so long. I should pay him a visit some time.
And more importantly still, I should go study for genetics exam tomorrow. -_-||

Oklah oklah rs mcm x sabarrrrr sgt wlupun ada sebulan+seminggu lg kot nk pegi! But maybe since I did not go anywhere during winter break (ya Allah tperuk kt rumah 2 minggu mcm hari2 order takeout sbb mls nk msk/jln kluar yg tebal bsalji), I couldn’t wait for spring! *off-tune-ing lagu Aku Cinta Padamu*
1. I’m going to Vegas for 6 days, baby! Dpt beli flight tiket bharga 268 saja wlupun snanye x untung pon since xkan pegi to California tp whtevr lah kan nak jln2! We’ll be going berempat saja; me, pau, jiji and mior. Tak tahulah apa yg bakal terjadi nnt. Hahaha.
2. Legally 21! not tht i’m thrilled to enter casino etc etc tp tp! I rent my first car at Vegas! ok cop nk drive along the way to Grand Canyon je! Tu pon klu brani but then sy dah drive from Racquet Club to rumah John n Francis yg berbukit bukau ala2 Grand Canyon jgk lah last week so kira pass lah tu kan. (Padahal nampak kereta nak lalu ckp dlm hati “Jangan lalu dpn aku boleh tak!!!”)
3. Nak tgk Inkheart and Bridewars. Jum3.
4. Oh ya. I bought three nice fishes (go google neon tetra). I put them nicely in a botol Prego yg dh dibersihkan and named them Dolce, Gucci and Nike. But then esoknya two of them mati didepan mataku! Nak nangis rsnya. Tinggal Nike je. Tu pon dh mls nk layan. Biar je kt dapur jd attraction Momo. Haih.

Sehari sebelum mereka meninggalkan dunia buat selamanya. =(
Another lame pictures update:

I tried to do the smiley thing with my coffee but then it turned out volcano-ish.

The pretty charmbracelet =)
5. There’s this guy named Kyle (sp.?) asking me last week, “Aisya, do you shave your head?” –> ni ckp kuat x ingat punya satu cafeteria boleh dgr kot at least a woman turned at me and I gave her my trademark sheepish look and I was like “O_O” and he was like, “Are you bald?” kali ni perlahan sikit and I said equally perlahan, ” I DO have hair,” and dia pon tersipu2 malu walhal sayalah yg patut malu dgn public announcement beliau. Isk3. Betullah. Actually kan, do Americans have this freaky thought that us hijab women were bald?
5. Byk lg nk ckp tp ada exam next week and the week after that so later lah.
Toodles! =D
OMG why am I feeling so giddy? Must be the caffeine.

Pada suatu hari yg permai..
Two and a half year old Rayyan yg petah bercakap bertanya, “Mummy, why is my hair curly2 like daddy’s? Rayyan don’t like it this.” Pertanyaan si kecil itu dijawab dgn penuh kasih sayang, “Meh mama ajar buat Punnet square meh,” Kata si ibu yang penyayang itu sambil membuat empat segi Punnet menggunakan pensel warna jenama Marc Jacobs, sementara si ayah sedang mengemas2kan rambutnya yg kelihatan seperti Cikgu Avan dalam komik Dragon Quest dihadapan cermin.
……………………………………………………………………………………………
There’s supposed to be a twist, where Rayyan gets a permanent hair straightening, but I’m gonna leave the hair issue as is coz, ala! I love curls. Hehe.
I seriously gotta sleep.
